BoomerangTimeoutException extends the new Exception. Replaced in catch clauses and added code that checks for timeout as well as custom behavior.

The first commit should not cause any versioning issues. That's why I did not increase version numbers.
If you like I can also change code so imo its API looks nicer but then this breaks backwards compatibility and we must raise version to at least 2.6. Tell me what you think.
